PHILADELPHIA – A New Jersey couple is seeking damages following an incident in which the wife allegedly slipped and fell on the premises of a casino.
Nakia Adams and Kyle Adams filed a complaint Jan. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment Inc., doing business as Parx Casino, alleging negligence.
According to the claim, Nakia Adams was a patron and business invitee of Parx Casino on Jan. 3, 2015, when the incident took place. The suit states that at 8 p.m., Nakia Adams was entering the casino when she encountered a wet substance that caused her to slip and fall. The suit states that the fall caused the plaintiff a plethora of medical concerns, including post-traumatic cervicalgia, post-traumatic cervical radiculopathy, neck pain, mental pain, suffering, emotional upset, humiliation and general loss of enjoyment of life. The plaintiff is suing the defendant for its negligence in the incident.
The Adams seek damages of more than $150,000. They are represented by Christopher J. Brill of the Law Offices of Christopher J. Brill in Newtown.
