PHILADELPHIA — A former employee is suing two health care groups, alleging she was sexually harassed in the workplace.
Kathleen Sullivan Rodebaugh of Doylestwon filed a lawsuit Feb. 4 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Healthcare Assistance with Member Support LLC in Easton, and Recovery Institute of South Florida Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, alleging sexual harassment and discrimination.
According to the complaint, during Rodebaugh's employment from 2009 to 2015, she reported to her supervisor, Terrence Livorsi. The suit states the plaintiff was sexually harassed by Livorsi who would touch her inappropriately, make lewd motions and even enter the women's restroom to replenish feminine hygiene products.
The lawsuit states that following a number of explicit actions from Livorsi, Rodebaugh began to suffer unfair treatment, including failure to pay overtime compensation and failure to treat her with respect. These actions caused the plaintiff emotional distress and she filed a employee discrimination claim, the suit says.
Rodebaugh seeks a jury trial, damages of more than $150,000 for wrongs suffered, as well as legal fees and punitive damages. She and is represented by attorney Michael B. Pisani of Gladwyne.
