Couple alleges Gator Laurel negligence resulted in wife's fall

PITTSBURGH — A West Virginia couple is suing a Florida-based mall business, alleging negligence for a fall that led to the wife's injuries.

Diana Price and Charles Price of Morgantown, West Virginia, filed a lawsuit June 2 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Gator Laurel Partners LLP, Gator Laurel Flea Market LLC, Gator Laurel Mall LLC , Wavie & Janes Emporium LLC, Jeff Wallace and Terry Bodes, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on June 8, 2013, Diana Price was a customer of Laurel Mall in Dunbar, Pennsylvania, when she tripped and fell over a storefront stand that featured a display. The suit says the stand was protruding into the corridor, and the defendants, Wavie & Janes Emporium and Gator Laurel Mall, should have known about the obstruction and maintained a safe condition in the corridor.

The lawsuit says the fall caused Diana Price serious and permanent injuries.

The Prices seeks damages of more than $75,000 for all injuries and damages, plus legal costs and a jury trial. They are represented by attorney Benjamin F. Goodwin of Uniontown.
