Government sues over alleged indebtedness

Contract 04

PITTSBURGH — The federal government is suing over allegations of default on a loan.

The United States of America filed a complaint on April 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Amzi Gillcrese, alleging failure to comply with a loan agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it did not receive payment in the total amount of $6,396.81. The plaintiff holds Amzi Gillcrese responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make payment for his indebtedness.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $6,396.81, plus pre-judgment and post judgment interest, attorney's fees, costs and any other such relief that the court deems just and proper. It is represented by John F. Kroto of Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett PC in Erie.
