Supervalu TTSJ accused of discrimination

PHILADELPHIA — A Puerto Rican male is suing Supervalu TTSJ, Inc., an employer, citing alleged racial discrimination and retaliation.

Luis Gonzalez of Ephrata filed a complaint on May 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Supervalu TTSJ, Inc. alleging that the employer allegedly violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was subjected to discriminatory actions by his supervisor because of his race and national origin, causing him to suffer injuries, damages and losses. The plaintiff holds Supervalu TTSJ Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly denied him the employment relationship and retaliated against him for engaging in protected activities.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment permanently enjoining the defendantfrom engaging in discriminatory practices, compensation for all damages, attorneys' fees, costs and expenses and for all other equitable relief.
