Philadelphia resident accuses Healthcare Services Group, Inc. of sexual harassment
PHILADELPHIA — An employer is suing Healthcare Services Group, Inc., a former employer, citing alleged hostile work environment, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
Aneva M. Davis filed a complaint on May 17, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Healthcare Services Group, Inc. alleging that the former employer violated the Civil Rights Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that during the course of her employment, she was subjected to discrimination and sexual harassment by her supervisor Chris Townes. The plaintiff holds Healthcare Services Group, Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to take prompt, remedial action to eliminate harassment and terminated her in retaliation for reporting sexual harassment and hostile work environment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks determination that defendant violated the law, reinstatement of a rightful place, payment for all damages, attorney's fees, expert fees, costs and expenses and such further relief as the court deems just and proper. He is represented by Marc A. Weinberg of Saffren & Weinberg in Jenkintown.
