PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing a Bucks County resident, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Megan Friel of Ewing, New Jersey, filed a complaint on May 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Edward Bodway, alleging that the Bucks County resident failed to obey traffic rules and regulations.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on June 11, 2014, she was driving her 2013 Hyundai Tucson in a southerly direction on Trenton Road in Falls Township when suddenly and without warning the defendant made a left turn, striking her vehicle, causing her to suffer serious and permanent injuries, resulting in great pain and suffering, mental anguish, humiliation, loss of earnings and medical expenses. The plaintiff holds Bodway responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to be attentive, failed to exercise due care, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to keep his vehicle under control.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in an amount in excess of $75,000, plus interest, attorney's fees and costs and for other relief that the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Clifford D. Bidlingmaier of Kardos, Rickles, Hand & Bidlingmaier in Newtown.
