HARRISBURG — A former employee is suing BCD Travel USA LLC, citing alleged discrimination, retaliation, unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Shannon Garcia filed a complaint on May 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against BCD Travel USA LLC, alleging that the employer discriminated plaintiff because of her sex.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, between May 2013 and October 2014, she was subjected to sexual discrimination during her employment and was terminated for opposing the unlawful practice. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed to prevent the plaintiff's co-workers from discriminating against her and instead terminated her employment as retaliation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks wages and other employee benefits lost, front pay, punitive and liquidated damages, compensatory damages, interest, all court costs and any further relief the court sees fit. She is represented by Sidney L. Gold of Sidney L. Gold & Associates, P.C. in Philadelphia.
