PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia nonprofit is seeking judgment from the court against two New York individuals over the sale of a property.
North Philadelphia Health System filed a complaint on July 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Christopher Rahn and Christine Pasieka seeking declaratory judgment.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in March, it sustained damages when the defendants failed to close on a Philadelphia property it owned. The plaintiff holds Rahn and Pasieka responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to close the sale of plaintiff's property despite the agreement being extended several times and making deposits.
The plaintiff seeks declaration that the defendants are in default of the agreement and that it is entitled to the $500,000 deposit as liquidated damages. It is represented by John D. Kutzler in Philadelphia.
