Consumer accuses debt collector of violation of FCRA and FDCPA
PENNSYLVANIA — A consumer is suing Trans Union, LLC, Equifax Information Services LLC and Account Resolution Services, LLC, debt collector, citing alleged misrepresentation in debt collection.
William Jose Hamilton, Sr. filed a complaint on Aug. 2, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they reported inaccurate information regarding plaintiff's credit history.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in May 2016, he suffered damages to his credit history and reputation. The plaintiff holds Trans Union, LLC, Equifax Information Services LLC and Account Resolution Services, LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly made false representation to third parties regarding plaintiff's credit history.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Mark Mailman and Gregory Gorski of Francis & Mailman, P.C. in Philadelphia.
