Carnegie man alleged to owe more than $3,000 on student loan

PITTSBURGH – The federal government alleges a Carnegie man owes on a student loan.

United States of America, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Raymond Clemons, also known as R. Clemons, alleging that the individual failed to pay his debt to plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Clemons failed to pay plaintiff for the principal amount plus interest of his debt despite plaintiff's demands.

The plaintiff seeks for the sum of $3,396.16 plus interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by John F. Kroto of Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett PC in Erie.
