Man claims he lost opportunities due to inaccurate credit reporting

PHILADELPHIA — A man is suing TransUnion LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc., Equifax Information Services LLC, LJ Ross Associates Inc. and Transworld Systems Inc., consumer reporting agencies, citing alleged negligent misrepresentation.

Timothy Thomas filed a complaint on Aug. 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they reported false information regarding his credit history.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained damages in the form of lost credit opportunities and harm to his credit reputation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly reported inaccurate and derogatory information regarding his credit history to third parties.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Mark Mailman and Gregory Gorski of Francis & Mailman, P.C. in Philadelphia.
