Man claims damage to credit reputation

PHILADELPHIA — A consumer is suing Equifax Information Services LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc., Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC and Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., d/b/a America's Sevicing Company, consumer reporting agencies, citing alleged negligent misrepresentation.

Michael Childs filed a complaint on Aug. 9 in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they reported inaccurate information regarding his credit history.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages to his credit reputation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly repeatedly reported derogatory and inaccurate information regarding the plaintiff's credit history to third parties despite his dispute.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, actual damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Mark D. Mailman and Erin A. Novak of Francis & Mailman, P.C. in Philadelphia.
