Borrower sued over alleged unpaid debt

PHILADELPHIA — The federal government is suing Veng K. Ly, alleging unpaid debt.

The United States of America filed a complaint on Aug. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Ly alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt to plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from the unpaid debt. The plaintiff holds Ly responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the principal amount plus interest despite the plaintiff's demands.

The plaintiff seeks the amount of $3,899.48, a  filing fee of $150, interest and court costs. It is represented by Thomas I. Puleo of KML Law Group, P.C. in Philadelphia.
