Trucker, employer accused of negligence in crash

HARRISBURG — A couple's lawsuit against driver Rodolfo V. Hudson and his employer, New Prime Inc., alleges negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Carol A. Evans and Raymond P. Evans filed a complaint on Aug. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against the defendants. alleging that Hudson, acting on behalf of New Prime Inc., failed to properly control his vehicle, causing it to collide with the plaintiffs' car.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Sept. 17, 2014, Carol A. Evans sustained serious physical injuries and damages in the form of medical expenses. The plaintiffs holds the defendants responsible because Hudson allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout while switching lanes, causing the New Prime truck he was driving to collide with the plaintiffs' vehicle.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus delay damages and court costs. They are represented by Thomas J. Foley Jr. of Foley Law Firm in Scranton.
