PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing TransUnion LLC, Equifax Information Services LLC and Experian Information Solutions Inc., consumer credit reporting agencies, citing alleged negligent misrepresentation.

Rose Mary Cardenas filed a complaint on Aug. 19 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they reported inaccurate information regarding her credit history to third parties.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that since at least June, she has suffered injuries to her credit reputation including lost credit opportunities. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly reported false information and derogatory statements regarding her credit history.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Mark Mailman and Erin A. Novak of Francis & Mailman, P.C. in Philadelphia.
