Company accused of failing to pay for brachytherapy business

PHILADELPHIA — A Pennsylvania corporation is suing Eckert & Ziegler Bebig Inc., a New York corporation, citing alleged breach of contract due to failure to pay for a business.

Biocompatibles Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Eckert & Ziegler Bebig Inc. alleging that the New York corporation failed and refused to pay the plaintiff for purchased assets.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages from the breach of their contractual agreement. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing and refusing to pay the plaintiff for a brachytherapy business despite the plaintiff's demands.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $976,836 plus interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Steven Maniloff of Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP in Philadelphia.
