Motorcyclist says driver's negligence caused collision

Law money 01

PITTSBURGH — A motorcyclist is suing Ultra 1 Motors Inc. and company agent Lidina El Hajj, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Kerry E. Cohagan filed a complaint on Aug. 22 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendants, alleging that Ultra 1 employee Hajj failed to properly control a vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 23, 2014, he sustained serious physical injuries from being involved in a vehicular collision. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because Ultra 1 employee Hajj allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout while attempting to make a left turn, causing a collision involving the vehicle she was driving and the plaintiff's motorcycle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for an amount that exceeds the arbitration limits of this court plus interest and court costs. He is represented by Wayne M. Chiurazzi of The Chiurazzi Law Group in Pittsburgh.
