Man claims Eastern University failed to pay overtime premium

PHILADELPHIA — A former maintenance employee is suing Eastern University, alleging violation of wage laws.

Carmen Anuzzi filed a complaint on Aug. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Eastern University alleging that the employer failed to fairly compensate him for all his working hours.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was not properly compensate for overtime when working more than 40 hours per week. The plaintiff holds Eastern University responsible for its alleged failure to pay an overtime premium.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid wages, overtime wages, interest, liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Darin T. Orsini of The Law Offices of Darin T. Orsini, LLC in Philadelphia.
