PITTSBURGH – A woman is suing HE Brickman Group Ltd. LLC n/k/a Brightview Landscapes LLC, Brickman Facility Solutions LLC n/k/a Brightview Enterprise Solutions LLC, Brightview Landscape Services Inc. and Brightview Landscape Development Inc., alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Kathleen A. Kessler filed a complaint on Aug. 29 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendants, alleging that they failed to remove snow and ice from their premises, causing a hazardous environment for her.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in January 2015, she fell on a slippery parking lot and sustained physical injuries including a fracture of her left wrist and arm. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly allowing the ice and snow to accumulate on the premises and failing to provide her with adequate warning.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $35,000 plus interest and court costs. She is represented by Lawrence D. Kerr of Tremba, Kinney, Greiner & Kerr, LLC in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
