PITTSBURGH — A man is suing motorist Alan Wilkins Jr., alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.
Joseph Bolton filed a complaint on Aug. 30, in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Wilkins, alleging that the defendant failed to timely apply his brakes.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 26, 2014, he sustained physical injuries when his car was rear-ended. The plaintiff holds Wilkins responsible because the defendant allegedly took his eyes off the road to pick up his cellular telephone which had dropped onto the floor of his vehicle before hitting the plaintiff's car.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, interest and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Eric T. Chaffin and Patrick C. Booth of Chaffin Luhana LLP in Pittsburgh.
