Man claims pre-recorded call violated telephone statutes

PITTSBURGH — A man is suing MMHTC Medwatch Limited a/k/a Medwatch USA a/k/a Medwatchusa.com, a New York business, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Mark B. Aronson filed a complaint on Aug. 30, in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the defendant, alleging that the New York business made an unsolicited telemarketing call to him.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 5, he suffered damages from receiving an unwanted telemarketing calls. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because the defendant allegedly made a pre-recorded call without displaying a phone number for the caller.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in the amount of $6,000. He is representing himself.
