HARRISBURG — A couple's lawsuit against Volvo Trucks North America Inc. and Nuss Truck and Equipment alleges design defect, negligence and product liability in connection with a crash.

Ahmed Ismail and Lisa Barrow filed a complaint on Sept. 7 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they manufactured defective trucks.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Feb. 22, Ismail suffered physical injuries when he lost control of his truck due to a defective steering axle mount. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to carefully inspect the vehicle for any defects before selling it.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendants in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Richard C. Angino of Angino Law Firm, P.C. in Harrisburg.
