Peoplescout, Seaton accused of violating wage laws

PHILADELPHIA — A woman is suing former employers over allegations of failing to obey wage laws.

Janice Rubbo filed a complaint on Sept. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Peoplescout Inc. and Seaton LLC, alleging that they failed to fairly compensate her for her work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014 and 2015, she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly violated the law requiring an overtime premium.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants for all unpaid overtime wages, court costs, interest and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Robert J. Haurin of Nachmias Morris & Alt, P.C. in Conshohocken.
