Federal government alleges Coraopolis man owes on student loans

PITTSBURGH – A Coraopolis man is alleged to have defaulted on his student loans.

United States of America, on behalf of the U.S. Department of Education, filed a complaint on Aug. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Thomas Deigan alleging that the individual failed to settle her debt with plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Deigan failed to pay the principal amount of his debt with plaintiff plus interest.

The plaintiff seeks amount of $18,968.28 plus interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by John F. Kroto of Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett PC in Erie, Pennsylvania.
