Hanover Foods accused of violating FMLA law

Wrongful term 07

HARRISBURG — A former employee is suing Hanover Foods Corporation, citing alleged retaliation, violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act and wrongful termination.

Gregory Lynn Gingerich filed a complaint on Sept. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against the defendant, alleging that the employer retaliated against him for exercising his right to FMLA leave.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he suffered damages from being denied the use of FMLA leave. The plaintiff holds Hanover Foods Corporation responsible because the defendant allegedly denied the plaintiff's request despite adequate evidence to prove his medical condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant. He is represented by Jeremy A. Donham of Donham Law in York.
