PHILADELPHIA — A married couple's class action lawsuit against The 3M Company (f/k/a Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co.); Angus Fire; The Ansul Company; Buckeye Fire Protection; Chemguard; and National Foam alleges product liability.

J. Davy Yockey and Josephine Yockey filed a complaint on Oct. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they manufactured a product which contains harmful chemicals.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages from consuming water that was contaminated with harmful chemicals. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to inform the plaintiffs regarding the potential risk of their product.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek an order for the defendants to implement a testing protocol, install a permanent filtration devices, establish a blood testing program and establish a medical monitoring protocol, in addition to monetary damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants.
