PHILADELPHIA — Labor funds are suing Sodexho Campus Food Services at Drexel University, citing alleged breach of contract.
Teamsters Local Union No. 115 Pension Fund, Teamsters Local Union No. 115 Health & Welfare Fund and Teamsters Local Union No. 115 Legal Service Fund filed a complaint on Oct. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Sodexho Campus Food Services at Drexel University, alleging that the employer failed to pay monthly contribution to the plaintiffs.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages due to unpaid and late paid contributions. The plaintiffs hold the defendant responsible for allegedly breaching its bargaining agreement by failing to pay monthly fringe benefit contributions on behalf of its employees.
The plaintiffs seek an order for the defendant to submit to an audit of its payroll books and records, payment of $12,293.25, court costs, payroll review and audit costs, and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Stephen C. Richman of Markowitz & Richman in Philadelphia.
