Ma'at Construction Group accused of not paying contributions

PITTSBURGH — A labor organization is suing Ma'at Construction Group Inc., a/k/a Ma'at Construction Group LLC; T. Rashad Byrdsong; Daytona Gordon; and Johnnie Comer, alleging breach of contract.

Carpenters Combined Funds Inc., by James R. Klein, filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay monthly contribution to the funds.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Carpenters Combined Funds Inc., by James R. Klein, suffered damages due to unpaid and late paid contribution. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly breached their bargaining agreement with the labor organization by failing to pay monthly benefits on behalf of their employees.

The plaintiff seeks the amount of $4,797.94 plus interest and court costs. It is represented by Jeffrey J. Leech and Neil J. Gregorio of Tucker Arensberg, P.C. in Pittsburgh.
