ERIE – An Ohio mother alleges her then-minor son was injured at motocross facility in Butler.

Kameron Hawkins & Amber Lynn Durbin filed a complaint on Nov. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Switchback MX LLC, doing business as Switchback Raceway, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Hawkins, a minor at the time, visited the defendant's facilities on Jan. 9 and suffered serious physical injuries. The plaintiff holds Switchback MX LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed minors to use and participate in motocross racing without parental permission and failed to contact medical personnel after the accident.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $75,000 plus court costs. They are represented by George R. Farneth II of Farneth Tomosovich LLC in Pittsburgh.
