Pair Networks claims another business infringed on their trade name

PITTSBURGH — A Pennsylvania corporation is suing Hostpaid LLC, a Delaware company, citing alleged unfair competition.

Pair Networks, Inc. filed a complaint on Nov. 21, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Hostpaid LLC alleging that the Delaware company used a similar trade name as plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Pair Networks, Inc. suffered damages to their business as the result of the infringement. The plaintiff holds Hostpaid LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly used the trade name "PAIR" which causes confusion among plaintiff's consumers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to discontinue the use of hostpair.com domain name, enjoin the defendant, injunction against the defendant, destruction of all infringing trademark, pay profits to the plaintiff, damages, three times profits, three times damages, court costs, and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Stanley D. Ference III and Brian Samuel Malkin of Ference & Associates LLC in Pittsburgh.
