PITTSBURGH — An administrator of a deceased man's estate has filed a lawsuit against several parties, alleging negligence in medical care.
Barbara Garcia Quiroz, individually and as the independent administratrix of the estate of Javier Quiroz, filed a complaint on Nov. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Stacey Lyn Gallagher, D.O.; Medexpress Urgent Care, P.C.- Uniontown; Medexpress Urgent Care, P.C.- Pennsylvania; Bryan Stutchell & Frank W. Alderman t/a Medexpress Urgent Care-Uniontown; Anthony D'Alessio, M.D.; Uniontown Hospital; and Fayette Regional Health System, alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to Javier Quiroz.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2014, Javier Quiroz suffered from an infection that was left untreated. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly diagnose Javier Quiroz's condition and provide the necessary treatment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds $75,000 plus interest and court costs. She is represented by Howard M. Louik of Louik Law Offices in Pittsburgh.
