HARRISBURG — A woman is suing American Honda Finance Corp.; Richard and Associates; and repo agent Tyler in a lawsuit alleging unlawful repossession, assault, battery, trespass and conversion.

Mary Katherine Engle filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging that the repossession agent used abusive behavior while repossessing her vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages when Tyler came to her New Oxford home, refused to show identification, refused to leave, shouted insults and profanities, pushed her in a way that caused a shoulder contusion and then started lifting the vehicle onto his truck while the plaintiff was still partly inside it. The plaintiff holds all defendants responsible for Tyler's alleged actions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks statutory damages, actual damages, treble damages, court costs and any further relief this court deems just. She is represented by William C. Bensley of Bensley Law Offices, LLC in Philadelphia.
