Woman says The Vanguard Group fired her in case of retaliation

Wrongful term 11

PHILADELPHIA — A former employee is suing The Vanguard Group, citing alleged retaliation and wrongful termination.

A. Karen Brock of Carmel, Indiana, filed a complaint on Dec. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against The Vanguard Group, alleging that the employer terminated her employment as retaliation for reporting information to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained damages from being terminated from her employment and from derogatory claims Vanguard made about her. The plaintiff holds The Vanguard Group responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to act on the complaints reported by the plaintiff and instead terminated her employment.

The plaintiff seeks compensatory and punitive damages and court costs plus interest. She is represented by James L. Griffith of James L. Griffith, Esquire, LLC in Blue Bell.
