PITTSBURGH — A former employee is suing Fidelity Brokerage Services, alleging age discrimination and wrongful termination.

Thomas E. Preston filed a complaint on Dec. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Fidelity Brokerage Services, alleging that the employer terminated the plaintiff's employment due to his age.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was terminated after an investigation of a dispute involving less that $1,000 in fees, and claims that his termination was based on his age. The plaintiff holds Fidelity Brokerage Services responsible for allegedly violating the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $75,000 plus court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Jason A. Archinaco, Robert A. Bracken and Michael A. O'Leary of Archinaco/Bracken, LLC in Pittsburgh.
