Law money 03

PHILADELPHIA — A West Chester man is suing Enhanced Recovery Company LLC and Comcast Cable Communications LLC, alleging misrepresentation in debt collection.

William Schlichtig filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against the defendants alleging that they claims that the plaintiff owes money to them.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, he signed up for Comcast services and canceled within the 30-day money-back period, but was wrongly billed by debt collector Enhanced Recovery Company for $67.78.

The plaintiff alleges that he lives in fear that credit data related to this bill will be furnished to credit reporting agencies, and he alleges he suffers from humiliation, anger, anxiety, emotional distress, fear, frustration and embarrassment. The plaintiff holds Enhanced Recovery Company LLC and Comcast Cable Communications LLC responsible for the alleged incorrect billing.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, treble damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Brent F. Vullings of Vullings Law Group, LLC in Collegeville.
