Investors claim fraud by Maryland, New Mexico companies

HARRISBURG -- Three people are suing Russell Rankin, EV Ventures Inc. and Mid Atlantic Gem LLC, all of Maryland, and Polaris Industries Inc., of New Mexico, alleging breach of contract, fraud and civil conspiracy and seeking an accounting.

Gen. l (Ret.) Frank J. Sullivan, Harold Blewitt Jr. and Ulash Damodar filed a complaint on Dec. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against the defendants, alleging they failed to perform their contractual obligations to the plaintiffs.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they suffered monetary damages. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly using investor money for personal use.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants for a minimum of $1.1 million, plus direct losses of $100,000 and $1 million consequential damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Jeffrey D. Servin of Jeffrey D. Servin, Esquire, in Philadelphia.
