PITTSBURGH – A Pittsburgh company alleges that a Blairsville business and two former employees misappropriated trade secrets.

Fenner Dunlop Americas LLC filed a complaint on Dec. 26, 2017, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against International Conveyor & Rubber LLC, Tony A. Sleasman and Jason E. Smith alleging tortious interference with contractual relations, unfair competition and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that International Conveyor & Rubber "has engaged in a coordinated effort to take Fenner's employees" since September 2016. It alleges that Smith and Sleasman were former employees who now work for International Conveyor & Rubber in breach of their employment agreements.

The plaintiff holds International Conveyor & Rubber LLC, Sleasman and Smith responsible because the defendants allegedly used plaintiff's confidential information to compete with it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory and consequential damages, exemplary and/or punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Donald M. Lund and Michael A. Metcalfe of Lund Metcalfe LLC in Canonsburg.
