HARRISBURG – A Harrisburg woman has filed a suit alleging she was discriminated against by her employer because of her age and disabilities.

June K. Taylor filed a complaint on Dec. 28, 2017, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania against Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, Brett W. Schreyer, Earl Hoch and Andrew J. Petsu citing the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes. She alleges she was employed by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency for more than 18 years. She alleges she experienced health issues with her diabetes and high blood pressure after being placed on a high-level account and received Family and Medical Leave Act accommodation and applied for ADA accommodation. The suit states she was eventually terminated.

The plaintiff holds Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency, Schreyer, Hoch and Petsu responsible because the defendants allegedly discriminated plaintiff due to her age and disabilities.

The plaintiff seeks back pay and reinstatement of full medical benefits as a retiree. She is representing herself.
