Former E.L.M. Enterprises Inc. employee alleges he was not compensated for overtime work

PITTSBURGH – A Harmony man alleges that his Zelienople employer failed to pay him for overtime work.

Frank J. Mazur filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against E.L.M. Enterprises Inc., doing business as Sign Innovation, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was employed by the defendant as a purchasing agent until he was laid off on Aug. 15, 2017. He alleges that during his last two years of employment, he worked 48.75 hours a week.

The plaintiff holds E.L.M. Enterprises Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime premiums to the plaintiff for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff seeks liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Ronald T. Elliott and Jordan P. Shuber of Dillon McCandless King Coulter & Graham LLP in Cranberry Township.
