Huntington Technology Finance alleges Surgem, others defaulted on lease

PITTSBURGH – A Pittsburgh lease finance corporation alleges that is owed more than $1.3 million for leased equipment.

Huntington Technology Finance Inc. filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Surgem LLC, Surgicare Surgical Associates of Jersey City LLC, Surgicare of Boca Raton LLC and Dr. John H. Hajjar alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff and Surgem are parties to a master equipment lease agreement signed in January 2017 that was guaranteed by Hajjar. The plaintiff alleges the lease is in default and the amount owed is more than $1.3 million.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $75,000 plus interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by John R. O'Keefe Jr. and Justin M. Tuskan of Metz Lewis Brodman Must O'Keefe LLC in Pittsburgh.
