PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia woman alleges her employer failed to pay her a minimum wage or overtime wages.

Darienda Watson filed a complaint on Jan. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Joeanne Ingram and Glenside Residence Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began working for the defendant in March 2014 and worked an average of 70 hours per week from January 2015 to February 2017.

The plaintiff holds Ingram and Glenside Residence Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime wages and underpaid her minimum wage.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for unpaid wages, compensation and liquidated damages of at least $72,251.55 plus court costs, and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Samuel A. Dion of Dion & Goldberger in Philadelphia.
