PHILADELPHIA – A Maryland man alleges his credit has been damaged by inaccurate information.
Keith B. Cobb Sr. filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Trans Union LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc., Equifax Mortgage Solutions LLC, Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC and Ditech Financial LLC alleging violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that since October 2017, the defendants have been reporting derogatory and inaccurate statements about his credit history to third parties. He alleges a mortgage account with Ocwen is erroneously being reported as foreclosed and another mortgage account with Ditech that he alleges is not his responsibility is also listed on his report. He alleges he has disputed the information with Trans Union and Experian.
The plaintiff holds Trans Union LLC, Experian Information Solutions Inc., Equifax Mortgage Solutions LLC, Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC and Ditech Financial LLC responsible because he alleged has suffered actual damages, lost credit opportunities and credit defamation as a result of the defendant's actions.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Mark D. Mailman and Alexis I. Lehmann of Francis & Mailman PC in Philadelphia.
