BitTorrent user alleged to have infringed 39 Strike 3 Holdings adult films

READING – A BitTorrent user known only by his or her IP address is alleged to have infringed dozens of adult films online.

Strike 3 Holdings LLC filed a complaint on Jan. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against John Doe subscriber assigned IP address 73.165.242.22 alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is the owner of award-winning adult motion pictures. It alleges the defendant has infringed 39 of its films.

The plaintiff holds John Doe subscriber assigned IP address 73.165.242.22 responsible because the defendant allegedly used BitTorrent to make unauthorized copies of plaintiff's motion pictures and used the same network to distribute the films to other users.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks enjoin the defendant from further infringing plaintiff's copyrighted works, order the defendant to delete all of plaintiff's media files, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants.
