PHILADELPHIA – A Palo Alto, California biopharmaceutical company alleges corporations in West Chester unlawfully used its trade secrets.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Synchrony Group LLC; Synchrony Healthcare Communications Inc.; Synchrony  Medical Communications Inc.; Inphase Communications Inc.; and Synchrony Alliance Consulting LLC alleging misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Synchrony misappropriated its trade secrets to use them to advance Synchrony's business relationship with Harmony Biosciences.

The plaintiff holds Synchrony Group LLC; Synchrony Healthcare Communications Inc.; Synchrony Medical Communications Inc.; Inphase Communications Inc.; and Synchrony Alliance Consulting LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly caused financial damages to it.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks to enjoin the defendants from further using plaintiff's trade secrets and providing them to Harmony, compensatory damages, exemplary, punitive and monetary damages, all statutory double and treble damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Martin J. Black, Sharon K. Gagliardi, Kelly A. Krellner and Luke M. Reilly of Dechert LLP in Philadelphia.
