Worker alleges unsafe environment at Pittsburgh project caused fall, wrist fracture

PITTSBURGH – A Mars man alleges he was injured while working on a Pittsburgh construction project.

Mark Beitler filed a complaint on Feb. 1 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against F.J. Busse Co. Inc., Drury Properties LLC, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 24, 2016, the plaintiff was an employee of Ryco Inc., a company subcontracted by the defendants, to perform work on the defendants' construction project. He alleges as he was walking on top of plywood placed on a trash bin, he stepped into a missing section of the plywood and fell from the trash bin to the concrete floor. 

He alleges the fall caused a wrist fracture, bruises and other injuries.

The plaintiff holds F.J. Busse Co. Inc., Drury Properties, LLC, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly provided a premises that was unsafe for use by workers.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, court costs, interest and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by G. Christopher Apessos of Friday & Cox LLC in Pittsburgh.
