Medical malpractice 04

PITTSBURGH – A Pittsburgh woman alleges she fell in a business because of the state of the floor.

Raven Chapman filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Sojourner House Moms alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 29, 2017, she sustained physical injuries when she fell due to the defective nature of the floor at the defendant's premises. She alleges she suffered a right knee injury.

The plaintiff holds Sojourner House Moms responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff regarding the defective nature of the floor or erect barricades or block off the dangerous area of the premises.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $35,000 plus court costs and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Marc I. Simon of Simon & Simon PC in Pittsburgh.
