PITTSBURGH – A Scottdale woman alleges she was injured at a Monroeville restaurant because of a greasy floor.
Connie Sheraw filed a complaint on Feb. 2 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against Bloomin' Brands Inc., doing business as Outback Steakhouse, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 9, 2017, she slipped and fell on the floor due to a greasy substance that was left on the floor at the defendant's restaurant. She alleges she fractured her left knee.
The plaintiff holds Bloomin' Brands Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly monitor and remove defective conditions on the premises and failed to warn of the condition.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount of more than $35,000 plus court cost and any further relief the court grants. She is represented by Marc I. Simon of Simon & Simon PC in Pittsburgh.
