PITTSBURGH – Two owners of Pittsburgh property allege a city-owned property damaged theirs.

Ira Ritter and Mary Ann Ritter filed a complaint on March 2 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against the city of Pittsburgh alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs own a property on North Homewood Avenue that is near a property owned by the city. The plaintiffs allege the defendant failed to maintain their property, which caused damages to the plaintiff's property.

The plaintiffs hold the city of Pittsburgh responsible because the defendant allegedly breached their duty by failing to maintain and care for their property.

The plaintiffs seek monetary damages of more than $35,000, court costs, exemplary damages and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by D. Scott Lautner in Pittsburgh.
