Goodway Group alleges former employees misappropriated trade secrets

Contract 03

PHILADELPHIA – A Jenkintown digital media service provider alleges former employees are using its trade secrets to compete with it.

Goodway Group filed a complaint on Feb. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Andrew Sklerov, Jeff Hastedt and BRKThru Digital LLC alleging breach of contract and violation of Pennsylvania's Uniform Trade Secrets Act

According to the complaint, Sklerov and Hastedt were previously employed by the plaintiff and had access to the plaintiff's confidential information and trade secrets. The suit states Hastedt forwarded the plaintiff's trade secrets to his personal email and that Hastedt and Sklerov formed BRKThru.

The plaintiff holds Sklerov, Hastedt and BRKThru Digital LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly used the plaintiff's confidential information to complete unfairly with it.

The plaintiff seeks injunction against the defendants, actual damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. It is represented by Marvin Weinberg and Stephanie Nolan Deviney of Fox Rothschild LLP in Philadelphia.
